In order to cancel your service with us, you need to contact the office at 865-982-3560. We will verify your information, get a new billing address from you, and schedule a disconnect day for your water service.
We ask that you come into the office to begin the new service process. You do not need an appointment to come in the office. Setting up service does not take long, but be prepared to wait a little longer if someone is in front of you. Please contact the office at 865-982-3560 with any questions.
There is a
new service packet that will need to be completed. You will need to fill out the two page service contract (pgs. 4 & 5) and the cross connection form (pg. 8). The bank draft form (pg. 7) is optional. We do require a signed purchase agreement, closing disclosure, settlement statement, or warranty deed if you are purchasing or a signed lease agreement if you are renting. An ID is also required. If you are applying for a new tap, we need a copy of the septic permit as well.
This is one of the free payment options that we offer. We just need a copy of a voided check and the bank draft form filled out to set this up in the office for you. The bank draft form is found on page 7 of the
new service packet. You can also set bank draft up online by registering your South Blount account on our
secure payment site and then adding your banking information. Just note that your payment will come out of your account two business days prior to the due date. When you receive your paper bill, it will say Recurring Payment - DO NOT PAY. You may also choose to sign up for paperless billing or email and text reminders once you register your account
online.
If you are a landlord, the rollover agreement is an option for you. After signing the rollover agreement found on page 6 of the new service packet, you can simply call the office at 865-982-3560 when your renter moves out and you would like the water service transferred back into your name. We will bill you the $30 non-refundable service fee and get the service transferred back to you on the desired date. This saves you time by not being required to complete paperwork each time service transfers back to your name.
